Health Services for Remote NT Communities
Making a difference in Aboriginal health goes with the Territory.
Work in one of the Northern Territory's remote communities and experience the real Australia.
There are currently over 76 remote communities in the Northern Territory. There are also several small communities of Aboriginal people, usually fewer than 100, in permanent or semi-permanent residences. These communities are often referred to as Homelands or Family Outstations.
Gain work experience in a place unlike any other
Expand your horizons and make your resume stand out from the rest by accelerating your career in the Territory’s remote communities.
Located throughout the Northern Territory, our remote areas will give you the opportunity to see some of the most unique medical presentations and learn from experienced clinical specialists.
Health
To support our remote communities, there are specialist outreach services provided out of the regional and urban areas on a regular basis. Not only to provide medical services but also to provide health education.
The schedule is updated daily here.
Where services cannot be provided in the community, patients and families are supported in visiting one of the regional or urban centres to receive medical care.
