Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency registration

Must be registered with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner Board via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Qualifications

Hold the relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice qualification or equivalent:

  • descent
  • be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage
  • other registration standards
  • professional capabilities
  • criminal history clearances
  • continuing professional development
  • regency of practice
  • professional indemnity insurance
  • English language proficiency.
